History
Cheviot Security (previously Clydeside Security) was founded in 1994 by electronics graduate Damon Rodwell. It grew out of and benefits from extensive experience in the fields of domestic, commercial and agricultural security. Since 1994, we have been providing a highly competitive, reliable, no-nonsense service to house-holders, businesses and farmers both throughout southern Scotland and, in the case of agricultural security, nation-wide.
A move to Morebattle, 7 miles south of Kelso in January saw the amalgamation of Alarms for Farms (the agricultural security side of the business) and Clydeside Security, which handled all the local domestic and commercial installations. It was this relocation and amalgamation that gave birth to the new company name.
In its early years, Alarms for Farms won the prestigious 'Jack Tester' innovation award for its commitment to providing customers with the very latest in the field of electronic security. This commitment has carried on undiminished and CHEVIOT SECURITY guarantees to provide exactly the right system in every application.
Our main activities are in two distinct areas - Intruder Alarms and CCTV.
